- ROOTED is available for children through fifth grade. Families must pre-register each week to participate. An email will be sent out to all families each week to RSVP for Sunday.
- Regarding masks:
- For children in kindergarten through fifth grade, masks are required at all times. The mask must cover the nose and mouth. Child-sized disposable masks will be available if needed.
- For children in PreK and below, masks are optional.
- All volunteers will wear masks while working with children.
- Regarding social distancing:
- Children in kindergarten through fifth grade will maintain at least a 3’ distance at all times and a 6’ distance when singing.
- Children in PreK will maintain a 6’ distance during stationary activities, but will have more freedom during play time.
- Families are welcome to provide their own snacks or bottles for nursery-age children. Additionally, optional snacks may be provided during nursery. Volunteers will wear gloves when handling food with children.
- We ask that parents keep children home if they exhibit high-risk symptoms. Per CDC guidelines, high-risk symptoms include:
- Fever above 100.0°F or chills
- New cough
- Difficulty breathing
- Severe sore throat
- Muscle aches
- Vomiting or diarrhea
- New loss of taste or smell
- Significant nasal or sinus congestion
- If a child exhibits high-risk symptoms during ROOTED, an adult will escort the child from the classroom and contact the child’s caretaker.
- Children and adults must wash or sanitize their hands before entering a classroom.
- Each child will be provided with individual supplies for crafts. Preschoolers may share toys, but they will be sanitized before and after use.
